Dubai (United Arab Emirates), 30 April (LaPresse/AP) – Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei, has stated that the only place where Americans should be in the Persian Gulf is “at the bottom of its waters”, whilst the Strait of Hormuz remains under Tehran’s control. “With God’s help and power, the bright future of the Persian Gulf region will be a future without America, a future dedicated to the progress, well-being and prosperity of its people,” Khamenei said in a written statement read out on Iranian state television.
