Rome, 1 May (LaPresse) – "Last night, the Russians once again attacked residential blocks in Odessa: so far, five people have been injured and fires have broken out in two buildings. In Kryvyi Rih, one person was injured following a drone attack. In the Kharkiv region, railway infrastructure, including traction substations, was hit. Damage was reported and some railway carriages caught fire. Thousands of households were left without electricity due to the shelling. Attacks were also carried out against the Sumy and Zaporizhzhia regions." Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy wrote this on X. ‘These daily attacks demonstrate the need to increase pressure on Russia,’ he added. ‘The aggressor must be weakened to ensure greater security for Europe. The sanctions policy must continue, alongside the synchronisation of all our sanctions with those of our partners,’ Zelensky concluded.
