Rome, 12 May (LaPresse) – “It had been on the table for some time” – the proposal for sanctions against violent Israeli settlers in the West Bank. “The Hungarian veto has finally been overcome, and now that Orban is no longer there, we have managed to reach a practical, important and just decision. They cannot carry out financial transactions in Europe, and they cannot come to our continent. Furthermore, their assets in the EU will be frozen, should they have any. So said Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani in an interview with “Il Messaggero”. Without Orban, is the EU stronger and more agile in its decisions? ‘It is more responsive. Now, however, we must insist on overcoming the right of veto over EU decisions.’
