Milan, 20 May (LaPresse) – The apology from Israel requested by Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani following the images of detained Flotilla activists released by Israeli Minister Ben Gvir has not been forthcoming. “Formally, no,” said Tajani himself, speaking on Tg2 Post, when asked whether an apology had been received. Formally, the words of Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar and Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu ‘point in that direction’ but ‘it is not enough’ and ‘we are deeply outraged’, Tajani continued, adding that ‘we would not want Mr Ben Gvir’s election campaign to be entirely centred on violent actions against others’.
