Rome, 20 May (LaPresse) – ‘Today, our relations have reached an unprecedented level, serving as a model of genuine global partnership and strategic cooperation.’ This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin during a meeting in Beijing with Chinese President Xi Jinping. Ria Novosti reports. The volume of trade between Russia and China ‘has grown more than 30-fold over the last quarter of a century. For several consecutive years, it has comfortably exceeded the $200 billion mark,’ said the Kremlin leader. ‘The complex process of forming a polycentric world based on the balance of interests of all its participants is underway. Together with our Chinese friends, we defend cultural and civilisational diversity and respect for the sovereign development of states, and we are committed to building a more just and democratic world order,’ Putin said during talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
