Madrid (Spain), 3 June (LaPresse) – According to estimates provided by the Spanish Episcopal Conference (CEE), Pope Leo XIV’s visit to Spain will cost a total of around €25 million and generate an economic return of over €150 million. The figure is not final and could rise. The organisational costs will be covered by private sources, through sponsorship from major companies, contributions from foundations and direct donations from the faithful, the CEE stated in a press release. The Spanish public administration will contribute only towards expenses relating to security, public order and urban mobility. The governments of Catalonia and the Canary Islands will also contribute towards the events scheduled in those regions.
