Turin, 10 June (LaPresse) – US forces have disabled an oil tanker in the Gulf of Oman for the second day running, ‘after another vessel breached the ongoing naval blockade whilst attempting to transport oil from Iran’. This was stated by US Central Command, explaining that it had ‘disabled the Palau-flagged tanker M/T Settebello whilst it was transiting the Gulf of Oman’. ‘A US aircraft,’ it explained on X, ‘struck the ship’s engine room with precision munitions after the crew had repeatedly ignored instructions issued by US forces’. ‘Since the start of the blockade on 13 April, Centcom forces have disabled eight non-compliant vessels, redirected 134 ships that complied with orders, and allowed 42 ships carrying humanitarian aid to pass,’ the statement reads.
