Turin, 11 June (LaPresse) – Sources in Israel have described themselves as “surprised” by US President Donald Trump’s statements regarding significant progress in ceasefire talks between the United States and Iran, following his announcement that planned attacks against Iran had been called off last night. According to Israeli broadcaster Channel 12, Trump’s announcement took the political and military establishment by surprise, as no prior warning had been received from the US. “As far as we know, Mojtaba Khamenei has not yet approved the agreement and we do not know whether a final framework document has been reached,” said an official.
