Washington (USA), 12 June (LaPresse) – ‘The Iranians will not receive cash, nor will funds be released simply by signing an agreement or attending a meeting.’ US Vice-President JD Vance wrote this on X, lamenting that ‘there is a lot of misinformation circulating about a possible agreement to reopen the Strait and end Iran’s nuclear weapons programme’. According to Vance, ‘the agreement is structured to prioritise the concerns of the United States and its allies and to ensure that, should the Islamic Republic of Iran fulfil its obligations, there will be economic benefits for both the country itself and the entire region. This agreement has the potential to transform the region and lead to lasting peace’.
