Turin, 10 June (LaPresse) – The entertainment world is in mourning. Patrizia Caselli, an actress, presenter and singer active from the 1970s through to the 1990s, has died at the age of 65. In 2024, in an interview with the “Corriere della Sera”, she announced that she had stage three cancer. Caselli left the entertainment world in 1994, breaking a contract with Rai, to follow Bettino Craxi to Hammamet, with whom she was romantically involved for nine years, until his death. Previously, she had been in a relationship with the actor Walter Chiari between 1979 and 1987. In the early 1980s, she also recorded several singles as a singer and worked in theatre, appearing in the play ‘Hai mai provato con l’acqua calda?’ alongside Chiari and Ivana Monti, and with Domenico Modugno in the revival of the comedy ‘Mi è caduta una ragazza nel piatto’. She made her debut on Rai in 1987 in the Rai2 summer variety show “Bella d'estate”, again alongside Walter Chiari, and subsequently joined the cast of “Chi tiriamo in ballo?”, also on Rai2, hosted by Gigi Sabani.
