Rome, 19 May (LaPresse) – ‘Life imprisonment for Mark Antony Samson’. This is the sentence sought by Rome’s Deputy Public Prosecutor Giuseppe Cascini in the trial for the murder of Ilaria Sula, the 22-year-old student killed in March 2025. The trial is currently underway in the bunker courtroom at Rebibbia prison. According to the prosecution, the ex-boyfriend stabbed the young woman three times in the neck in the flat on Via Homs, in Rome’s Africano district. After the murder, the body was allegedly hidden in a suitcase and abandoned in a ravine in Capranica Prenestina. The magistrates consider the body of evidence to be ‘serious and substantial’. Samson stands accused of murder with aggravating circumstances of premeditation, trivial motives and the concealment of the body.
