Rome, May 31 (LaPresse) – "They must not dare to divert cohesion funds from their intended destination. I would use them, but for infrastructure, schools and education. These are funds that come from Europe to bridge the economic and social inequalities of our most disadvantaged territories. Fitto has proposed a mockery." This is what M5S president Giuseppe Conte said in an interview with Il Messaggero, criticizing the proposal to use the funds to address the energy crisis. When asked for advice for the Prime Minister, the Five Star Movement leader replied: "The only serious thing Meloni can do, after saying that the Stability Pact was a good compromise and that it would free up 35 billion of which we have not seen even a shadow, is to admit that that signature was a big mistake, to do a mea culpa, and to revise at least the crazy military spending program in order to recover resources."
