Rome, 7 May (LaPresse) – Another night of the 2025–2026 NBA playoffs, with the first-round fixtures starting to feel ‘heavy’ and decisive. After losing Game 1 in a nail-biter, the Spurs dominated from the start of Game 2, defeating Minnesota 133-95. Led by Victor Wembanyama’s double-double of 19 points and 15 rebounds, San Antonio – who conceded just 35 points to their rivals in the first half – levelled the series. The New York Knicks, meanwhile, made no mistakes and won their second consecutive game against the Philadelphia 76ers 108-102, taking the series to 2-0 at the end of a match that proved far more closely fought than the first encounter (which ended 108-102). New York were driven in the decisive moments by Jalen Brunson, who scored 11 of his 26 total points in the closing stages, whilst Philadelphia once again paid the price for the absence of Joel Embiid (injury) and collapsed in the final stages.
