Milan, 8 June (LaPresse) – US Avellino 1912 “is pleased to announce that it has appointed Alessandro Nesta as head coach of the first team for the 2026/2027 season. Born in Rome on 19 March 1976, he began his coaching career in Miami (USA), managing the American club for three seasons. His coaching career in Italy began in the 2018/2019 season, in Serie B at the helm of Perugia. He then had spells on the bench with Frosinone and Reggiana in Serie B, and Monza in Serie A. In total, he has managed 192 matches across Serie A, Serie B, the Coppa Italia and the Serie B play-offs. The agreement runs until 30 June 2028. From 1 July 2026, Coach Nesta’s technical staff will consist of assistant coach Lorenzo Rubinacci, technical staff members Massimo Lo Monaco and Vincenzo Varrica, fitness coach Luca Morellini, goalkeeping coach Raffaele Clemente and match analyst Federico Soldano.
