Milan, 8 May (LaPresse) – The flight attendant with the Dutch airline KLM, who was tested for hantavirus, has tested negative. This has been confirmed by the World Health Organisation (WHO). The woman, originally from Haarlem, had come into contact with a Dutch woman in Johannesburg, South Africa, who subsequently died from the virus. This was reported by De Telegraaf. The 69-year-old Dutch woman had booked a KLM flight from Johannesburg to Amsterdam on 25 April, but the crew decided not to allow her to board due to her health condition. The flight attendant was on that flight and is one of five people who had ‘close contact’ with the woman. She was admitted to Amsterdam UMC hospital with mild symptoms.
