Madrid (Spain), 11 May (LaPresse) – A 62-year-old Spanish Civil Guard officer has died of a heart attack during operations to disembark passengers from the cruise ship MV Hondius at the port of Granadilla de Abona, in Tenerife. The news was reported by the professional association Jucil on social media. ‘A Civil Guard officer has died in Tenerife during the operation launched following the arrival of the MV Hondius and the potential Hantavirus outbreak. The officer, who was on duty at the operations centre, suffered a cardiac arrest. Despite resuscitation attempts lasting 40 minutes, it was not possible to save his life,’ the association wrote on X.
