Milan, 4 June (LaPresse) – A senior Hezbollah official has threatened Israel, stating that should the IDF resume its attacks on Beirut, the terrorist organisation would launch retaliatory strikes against cities in central Israel such as Haifa and Tel Aviv. This is reported by the Jerusalem Post. In an interview with the Qatari newspaper Al Araby, the deputy head of Hezbollah’s political council, Mahmoud Kamati, stated that “The equation of Dahiyeh against the settlements in the north cannot be accepted under any circumstances”. “It is not possible for the bombardments towards the north to cease in exchange for non-aggression against Dahiyeh,” he added. “From the outset, the campaign has been in full swing and the horizon is open.” Kamati instead threatened that the ‘equation’ would be between Dahiyeh and Beirut on one side, and Haifa and Tel Aviv on the other.
